Dogs need to be vaccinated for some diseases as early as eight to nine weeks after they are born. They may then need a booster jab in 12 months or so time. Different diseases can be prevalent in different regions and dogs that will be regularly visiting kennels, shows or travelling abroad may need additional cover. Always check with your vet what the best vaccination programme will be to suit your family. The typical dog vaccinations cover: canine parvovirus; canine distemper virus, leptospirosis and infectious canine hepatitis.
