As Autumn begins to take hold, the clocks go back and suddenly winter seems to be on its way. It’s the time when we move from relaxed summer rambles to warming winter walks. Smaller pets will begin to need more protection and warmth – especially those kept in the garden. Rabbit hutches that were in the perfect place for the summer may need to be re-positioned so they are protected from the winter weather – and easily reached for those vital daily checks. And finally, while the two legged members of the family may not be so keen on their exercise in winter – our four legged friends need just as much – so keep up the walks and make sure small pets get plenty of time in their runs.
